APPRENTICESHIP and MENTORING PROGRAMS

 

Apprentice Program

The Apprentice program at Inspiration Farm is a comprehensive four week interactive program designed to give first hand experience in the daily operations and responsibilities of a working horse farm.

With the benefit of four rings; a 60' outdoor round pen, a 60' indoor round pen and a 70' x 144' outdoor ring and a 70' x 144' indoor arena the program is available year round.

Daily sessions encompass: Human and horse psychology, ground work, round pen work, long lining, conditioning, suppling the horse, ring work, trail work, and a variety of behavioral issues.

Tuition without your horse: $1,500.00

Tuition  with your horse: $2,500.00

Stabling, hay, and bedding included. Grain and supplements are not provided.

Daily schedule Monday through Friday:

7:00AM feeding the horses    Breakfast      limited number of stall cleanings

8:00AM training begins

Noon time feeding the horses    Lunch

1:00PM training and lessons continue 

3:00PM afternoon feeding the horses  

5:00PM   Dinner

There are often evening training sessions as well

8:00PM evening feeding the horses

8:30PM end of the day

Mentor Program            

The Mentor program is similar to the Apprenticeship program. The primary difference from the Apprentice Program is the long term commitment required by the Apprentice. Participants interact in a one-on-one basis with the instructor and the horses with the same focus on the physical and psychological aspects of horsemanship. The schedule is the same as described above in the Apprentice Program

Tuition with out your horse: $125.00 per day

Tuition with your horse: $150.00 per day

Stabling, bedding and water provided. Hay, grain and supplements not provided.
